Remodeling Project Kitchen | |||||||||
|
This kitchen-remodeling project was
located in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The house was built in the
1980's and is a three-bedroom ranch. The floor plan had
the Dining Room and Kitchen open to each other. This project involved designing a new layout for both the kitchen and laundry room. After removing the old cabinets and countertops, new maple cabinets by Seville Cabinetry were installed in both rooms. The wood floors in the kitchen and dining area were refinished, new vinyl flooring installed in the laundry. New countertops, electrical fixtures, wiring and appliances were also installed. One new window was added to the dining area. French doors on an existing three-season sunroom were removed. The sun room was then opened up completely to the dining area using an architectural pillar that mimicked the same feature that divided the living room from the dining area. The old cabinets and countertop were installed in the garage for storage. Disruption of normal cooking and dining occurred during the project. We appreciated that the homeowner despite getting tired of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches showed patience during the project. The owner's involvement in product selection and sensibility for color and design led to a very delightful and workable space. This kitchen was selected and photographed for inclusion in Seville Cabinetry's 2004 Product Brochure. |
